Super Friendly and Helpful
"I was visiting a relative in Connecticut. When I discovered that I had driven from Northern Maine to Eastern Connecticut, with a rear brake caliper stuck on. My cousin immediately told me to call Minor's Auto. I did and Mr. Minor got me that in the next day. I figured that me being from out of state would get hosed. Was I in for a surprise! Mr. Minor and his crew got my truck in and repaired, within an hour! Mr Minor informed me that my truck needed a caliper, a rotor and new pads. I asked him to replace both rotors, both sets of pads and the one caliper. He agreed and told me that it was the right thing to do. I asked if I could chat with his tech, while we waited for parts and he said sure. I was impressed with the cleanliness, of the shop! His techs were super friendly and helpful and explained like Mr. Minor did, what was going on with my truck. The crew installed the parts with care and professionalism. While they were doing that, I wandered around they shop. I was surprised to see that a bodyshop was part of the business too. I looked at a 1958 - 1960 Mercedes Benz project, they were building for a customer. I was dumb struck, as I walked around this AMAZING feat of sweat, bloody knuckles, hours of hand labor and F-BOMBS, that had gone into this work of aluminium art. When my truck was finished and out of the shop Mr. Minor asked me to come into his office. "Here we go!" I thought to myself. I expected to be thoroughly HOSED on parts and labor. I tell you what, I was so ashamed of myself. Mr. Minor gave me one Hell of a deal!! I shook his hand, told him it was a treat and an honor to meet him. He told me to come back anytime, and chat about the Navy and old MOPAR vehicles. I went out to the shop, and tried to give his tech some cash, for doing a good job. The young man would NOT except it. He told me it was his job and pleasure to work on my truck. He liked how clean I kept my 15 year old GMC. If you are in Plainfield Connecticut and need mechanical or body work done, stop in and see my friends at Minor's Auto. Take care everyone, and enjoy your trip! I had a GREAT conversation about the Navy and old MOPARS with Mr. Minor. He was treat, to chat with!!"

Reliable and honest
"We have been bringing our cars to Minor's since the 1980s. Since we usually drive older cars, we have been there a lot over the years. They diagnose the problem, and if a repair is going to be expensive, they've advised us of the cost for approval before proceeding. After, Tom explains what was done and answers my questions. We appreciate having such a reliable auto shop through the years. I've also bought a used car from them, and was very pleased with it. "
